Privacy Policy

Effective September 25, 2026

CigarWatcher collects the information needed to operate price alerts, including account email addresses, saved alert criteria, notification preferences, session information, and basic service logs.

Authentication is handled by Clerk, a dedicated identity provider. CigarWatcher does not store or process your account password.

We record site visits, catalog search counts, and outbound retailer clicks to understand traffic and improve the service. Visit analytics may include an approximate city, region, country, device and browser class, page path, referring website domain, and campaign label. A keyed hash helps count repeat visitors; analytics records do not contain raw IP addresses, full browser identifiers, full referring URLs, or search text. We do not sell personal information.

Third-party services such as Clerk, retailers, and affiliate networks have their own privacy practices. When you leave CigarWatcher for a retailer, that retailer's policies apply.

We may update this policy as the service develops. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
